Loewe is Spanish luxury brand founded in 1846 in Madrid by Enrique Loewe Roessberg. In the 70’s and 80’s Loewe expanded to other countries like England, Japan or Hong Kong. In 1970, Vicente Vela created the Anagram, which nowadays is still used on the products.

Firstly Lowe was only selling artisanal leather goods, in 1965 was launched a Ready-to-wear collection and then in 1975 was created the iconic Amazona Bag.

Nowadays the creative director of Loewe is Jonathan Anderson who is very talented, Irish designer.

In 2012 the brand opened Galeria Loewe in Barcelona on the most chic streets in the city, Passeig de Gracia. In the gallery visitors can see and discover history and tradition by audio-visual technology. There are 5 floors in which each represents different subject, the Amazon bag has all entire floor to explain the history and how it was made.

There are also leather floor where we can see a beautiful three made of bags and silk floor where we can discover an installation of silk scarves dancing on the air, designed by Daniel Wurtzel.
